2nd Week Of Internship

I was assigned by my supervisor to assist my colleague, WM Putra to check for the condition of an air compressor at Masindra Langkawi supply vessel. After consult severe mariner, i found that is the piston problem. Then we order from our supplier from the machinery shop to find the same type head. The 10hp air compressor head was replaced by a 7.5hp compressor head because lack of stock.

After installed the new head of the air compressor helped by the seaman, the rev was too high and generate too much heat. Then the air compressor was modified to a smaller size pulley to slower down the rev speed. Therefore the belt was subject to change since the length is different then before. After everything serviced, the head must be align with the motor.

I learned about how to repair and fixed the air compressor this week and also continue my study about Maxsurf.
